Prime Minister Nawaf Salam wrote through his account on the “X” platform: “The government’s decision to be strict in extending full state control over Beirut Governorate, and to restrict weapons there to legitimate forces alone, in order to preserve the safety, security, and property of citizens, issued on the ninth of this month, is irreversible, and we will be strict in implementing it. This is what I confirmed today to the representatives of Beirut representing the meeting that was held yesterday under the slogan: Beirut is safe and free of weapons.”
